Finding Your Power with the Medicine of the South
In the tradition of the Q’ero shamans from the high mountains of Peru, the south is a place of deep transformation. It is the beginning of the journey on the medicine wheel. Just as the warm sun sits in the southern sky, this direction brings the heat we need to shed our past. At the Chacana Spiritual Center, we teach that the south is where we learn to walk with beauty and let go of the things that no longer serve us.

Finding Your North Star: Wisdom and Ancestors in the Q’ero Tradition
The medicine of the north in the Q'ero shamanic tradition is a powerful way to connect with your ancestors and find your true direction in life. In the high Andes mountains of Peru, the Q'ero people teach that the north is linked to the hummingbird. This tiny bird represents the courage to take a long journey and the ability to find sweetness even in difficult places. When we look to the north, we are looking at our own lineage and the wisdom passed down through generations.

The Hidden Wisdom of the West in Q’ero Shamanic Traditions
The Q’ero people of the high Andes in Peru carry an ancient way of seeing the world through the Four Directions. In this tradition, the West is more than just a spot on a compass. It is a sacred space for transformation and letting go. While the South represents the beginning of the journey, the West is where we face our deepest shadows to find our true strength.
