Sacred Boundaries in Practice: A Workshop on Touch, Consent & Energetic Integrity

Required course for Shamanic Practitioner students.

Workshop Description: In healing work, touch is not just physical—it’s energetic, emotional, and deeply personal. Whether you’re offering massage, energy work, or shamanic clearing, consent is not a checkbox—it’s a sacred agreement. This 2-hour experiential workshop will guide you through the essential practice of asking for and receiving consent in a way that honors both your client's and your own intuitive boundaries. We’ll explore what it means to touch with integrity, how to listen for both verbal and nonverbal cues, and how to create a sense of safety in your sessions, both physically and energetically. Through partner exercises, verbal practice, and guided reflection, you’ll learn how to: Ask for consent clearly and confidently Recognize “yes” and “no” in the body’s subtle language Navigate awkward or ambiguous moments with grace Build trust through presence, not pressure Use consent as a tool to deepen the healing field This is a hands-on workshop—you will be paired with other students to practice asking for and receiving consent, as well as giving and receiving touch in a safe, supported container. What to Bring: A notebook and pen for journaling and reflection Water or a drink to stay hydrated Loose, comfortable clothing (movement and ease of access to arms/shoulders are helpful) An open heart and willingness to explore this essential piece of your healing practice Important Note: There will be partner work throughout the class. You will take turns both asking for and offering touch (on the hands, shoulders, back, etc.) with full verbal and energetic consent. All exercises will be guided and optional, with space held for individual boundaries at all times.
