Rawhide Types:

Deer Medicine - The gentle spirit of the deer teaches us to follow its example in unconditional love, kindness, and trust. Balances the heart chakra. 

Elk Medicine - Gives the stamina, endurance & ability to pace yourself as you go through the edges from the known to the unknown. The vibration of elk balances the solar plexus chakra.

Please wear play clothes (will be using wood stain) and pack your lunch/drinks.

Join us and bring your own spirit drum to life! You can create your own personal spirit drum at our frame drum-making workshop. All supplies & tools are provided to make a traditional-style frame drum. These drums have a nice, deep tone suitable for shamanic journeying, energy work, meditation, and fun at a drum circle. 

All of the supplies are sustainably harvested in an ethical and kind manner. Nothing goes to waste. We feel the spirit of the animal chose to find the hunter that would share its hide with our supplier so it would be able to live on as your amazing spirit drum. 

Wear your play clothes or an apron, since we will be staining the drum frames and there is water involved with stretching the hide. This is usually an all-day event. We take a one-hour lunch break and small breaks during the day.

 Spirit Rising is owned & operated by Michael & Angela Canady. Angela started her path to helping others grow spiritually by being Reiki-attuned in 2002. Since then, she has become a Reiki Master/Teacher and studied herbalism, shamanism, ThetaHealing, Journey Dance, meditation, and many other spiritual practices. Michael's shamanic journey began in 2016 with a traumatic awakening that catapulted him deep into ancient spiritual traditions. He studies religions from all over the world and at all times, integrating what spirit guides him into his energy work & sessions. Together, they have been creating spirit drums since 2019.

Class Refund Policy:  Payment is required before the workshop and there are no refunds once supplies are ordered. If you need to cancel, you may apply your entire deposit to a future workshop, a drum created by Spirit Rising, or store credit with Spirit Rising.
