About the Event

$45 person | 2hrs   Supplies are included in the class cost.

Students should have basic knowledge of meditation. Bring a bottle of water, journal and pen

In the first of this 2-part workshop, Kelli will introduce you to a hands-on experience in creating your very own clay creation. Creations will vary, according to your personal connection with the clay.

To help you connect, a deep breathing experience will first be performed outside in our bare feet, connecting you with Pachamama, while holding your raw clay in hand. This will help you get in touch with your intuition and allow the natural healing power of clay to guide you. When you feel ready, you will then take your clay and sit at one of the tables outside and begin creating. Kelli will offer intuitive suggestions, as needed.

Creating with clay hones the art of patience, time and sweet anticipation. After you complete your raw creation, Kelli will store your pieces and allow them to dry. They will then be fired in a kiln.

In the part 2 workshop, you will come back and enjoy an outdoor glazing (painting on a liquid glass coating) experience of your fired piece.

Glaze comes in different colors. You can choose your colors from the glaze selection provided. After, Kelli will take your piece and fire it a final time in a kiln. After this final firing, Kelli will bring your finished ceramic piece to The Chacana Spiritual Center where you will be notified to come and pick them up.
